Scheduling Class Visits
Special Collections and Museums staff members provide instruction and orientation in a range of disciplines and subjects, including general information about how to locate and use our materials for research purposes and class presentations.
Class visits can be arranged as a one-time group visit for students and faculty looking to explore primary resource materials in their subject disciplines. We also work with faculty to develop semester-length assignments requiring students to visit Special Collections and Museums and acquire hands-on scholarly experience with archival manuscript collections and rare books. Sessions may be scheduled for regular class meeting times or as an additional class. We will work with instructors to ensure that class visits complement course objectives and subject matter.
Faculty or staff wishing to schedule course-related instruction should contact Special Collections or Museums.
For general inquires about instruction, please contact:
- Curtis Small, Coordinator for Special Collections Instruction (302-831-6518)
- Ashley Rye-Kopec, Curator of Education and Outreach, Museums (302-831-8047)
If a particular staff member has taught your class before, you may also contact that person directly to arrange an instruction session.
